Physicochemical Properties
- Water Solubility: Soluble in water at room temperature, yielding a transparent aqueous solution with no visible impurities. Non-toxic, harmless, safe and environmentally friendly, meeting the requirements of food contact safety standards.
- Chemical Resistance: At room temperature, the aqueous solution maintains a stable pH value of 5-7 and consistent viscosity. It exhibits high resistance to weak acids, weak bases (≤5% concentration), and common organic solvents (e.g., esters, ketones, higher alcohols, hydrocarbons) without causing precipitation, viscosity fluctuation or chemical degradation. Additionally, it possesses excellent oil resistance, showing no swelling or dissolution when in contact with vegetable or mineral oils.
- Miscibility: Compatible with starch, synthetic resins (e.g., PVA, polyacrylic resin), cellulose derivatives (e.g., CMC, HPMC), and various surfactants, forming stable mixtures. Slight stratification may occur after long-term storage, which can be restored to uniformity by gentle shaking.
